National Sales Head (DGM)-Marketing & Sales (C&I Segment)

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:To lead and drive the overall Sales & Marketing strategy for the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) segment across India, expand market presence, achieve national revenue and margin targets, develop new territories, strengthen consultant/EPC and channel networks, and build a high-performance sales team aligned with the company’s premium positioning.

-Achieve annual national sales and margin targets for the C&I segment.
-Expand market presence into new geographies and customer segments.
-Strengthen consultant/EPC/vendor approvals nationally.
-Build a strong dealer and channel partner network.
-Develop a high-performing, motivated sales team.
-Maintain a healthy order pipeline and customer satisfaction score.  

KEY ACTIVITIES:  
-Develop and execute the national sales strategy for the C&I transformer segment.
-Identify high-potential markets and establish strong dealer/distributor networks.
-Drive entry into new states and geographies with tailored go-to-market plans.
-Achieve annual and quarterly sales targets across all regions.
-Grow sales in emerging industrial hubs and retain dominance in existing markets.
-Expand customer base among industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
-Lead and mentor Regional Heads & Engineers for high performance.
-Ensure uniform sales processes, pipeline discipline, and CRM usage.
-Build capability through continuous product and sales training.
-Build long-term relationships with key industrial clients, EPC contractors, and consultants.
-Handle escalated negotiations, large tenders, and strategic accounts.
-Work with design, production, and service teams to align on customer requirements.
-Coordinate with marketing for targeted campaigns, exhibitions, and lead generation.
-Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and policy changes affecting the C&I segment.
-Provide regular market insights to leadership for strategic decision-making.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:Qualification (Must/Desirable): B.E. (Electrical) mandatory; MBA (Marketing/Sales) preferred.  

Experience:  15–18 years in industrial B2B sales (transformers, switchgear, capital goods). Minimum 5–7 years in a national/multi-region leadership role.
-Proven track record of opening new territories and handling large consultant/vendor approvals.
SPECIAL SKILLS:Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Ability to manage large territories and complex sales cycles.
Strategic thinking with hands-on market development approach.
Deep consultant/EPC and industry network within C&I segment.
Strong commercial acumen and CRM discipline.
