| MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: | To independently develop and manage key industrial customers and projects, drive enquiry generation and conversion, lead negotiations, finalize orders, support vendor approvals and influencer engagement, and mentor junior team members to ensure regional sales targets are achieved. |
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
| KEY RESULTS: -Achieve individual sales targets through new and repeat business. -Build and maintain a strong enquiry pipeline. -Convert enquiries to confirmed orders through effective negotiations. -Develop strong relationships with key customers, consultants, and EPCs. -Support vendor approvals and product specifications. -Guide and support junior team members. -Ensure timely documentation, CRM updates, and reporting. KEY ACTIVITIES: -Identify and develop new industrial customers through regular field visits and networking. -Conduct detailed technical discussions and presentations to understand and meet customer requirements. -Prepare and submit competitive techno-commercial offers and handle pricing discussions. -Lead negotiations and finalize orders within company guidelines. -Coordinate all order-related documentation, confirmations, and internal handovers. -Build strong working relationships with consultants, EPCs, and influencers to secure product specifications and approvals. -Guide and support Assistant Engineers in lead follow-ups, offer preparation, and basic negotiations. -Provide regular updates in CRM and maintain accurate visit and sales reports. -Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and share insights with the Manager. |
| EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS: | Qualification (Must/Desirable): BTech, BE in Electrical Experience: 5 – 7 years of relevant B2B industrial sales experience, preferably in transformers, switchgear, electrical capital goods, or related heavy industrial products. Experience in dealing with consultants, EPC contractors, or DISCOMs is a strong plus. |
| SPECIAL SKILLS: | Strong technical knowledge of industrial electrical products. Excellent relationship-building and customer engagement skills. Proven negotiation and closing abilities. Good communication and presentation skills. Ability to handle key accounts independently and influence specifications. Experience in guiding junior team members and working in a team environment. Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and report preparation. Willingness to travel extensively. |
