| MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: | The Coil Assembly Supervisor is responsible for supervising the assembly of transformer coils, including high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) windings. This position ensures that all operations are carried out efficiently, safely, and in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards |
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
| KEY ACTIVITIES: 1.Supervision and Leadership: -Lead and manage a team of coil assembly technicians and operators. -Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure timely and efficient production. -Provide on-the-job training and guidance to team members. 2.Production Oversight: -Ensure coil winding and assembly processes meet design and manufacturing specifications. -Monitor daily production schedules and adjust resources as needed to meet targets. -Coordinate with engineering and quality departments for technical clarifications. 3.Quality Assurance: -Inspect and verify that assembled coils comply with quality and technical standards. -Implement corrective actions in case of deviations or defects. -Support internal and external audits related to coil assembly. 4.Safety and Compliance: -Enforce workplace safety practices and company policies. -Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO, IEC, or ANSI. -Conduct regular safety briefings and risk assessments. 5.Process Improvement: -Identify and implement improvements in coil assembly methods and workflows. -Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and scrap control. 6.Documentation and Reporting: -Maintain accurate records of production, maintenance, and quality issues. -Prepare reports on productivity, downtime, and personnel performance. |
| EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS: | Qualification (Must/Desirable): ITI/Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in coil assembly or transformer manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. -Strong knowledge of transformer winding techniques, insulation systems, and electrical design principles. |
| SPECIAL SKILLS: | -Leadership and team management. -Problem-solving and decision-making -Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. -Knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S practices. -Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems -Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and manual handling. -May require standing for extended periods and lifting of moderate loads. -Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. |
